My experience with Cathy as my doula: 

Cathy’s prenatal Massage and Doula services were essential to my pain management and overall sense of safety during my pregnancy, labor and birth experience. Throughout labor she attended to my every need. Sometimes I was unaware of my tension and she would subtly remind me to relax and use her massage knowledge and skills to that end. Her coaching throughout was so important to me, sometimes her words of encouragement and meditative phrases was all I could think of, to focus my contractions in a useful direction. Cathy’s compassionate and practical care helped me feel more calm at every scary moment or turn of events. She advocated for my privacy among other things during such a vulnerable time, it’s hard to overstate the feelings of gratitude I have for her care! I hope she’ll be available as a doula for me at every birth in my future. 

My experience with Cathy as my prenatal massage therapist:

Every massage from Cathy has been wonderful and extremely relaxing. Her manner is soothing and empathetic, which comes through in her touch and pressure. I’ve always found her sense of pressure and timing spot on and careful. I received several prenatal massages from her when I was in my third trimester as well. My swelling and tension always benefitted from those sessions, even days later! Cathy asked me knowledgeable questions that informed her focus on different area for me. My overall experience was very satisfying!

My wife and I hired Cathy Brown-Lombardo to serve as a Birthing Doula during our first pregnancy.

I must say that anyone seeking the most authentic birthing experience should contact Cathy before labor. During my wife’s delivery, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else within the private and intimate situation of her labor.

Cathy’s calming and caring personality is the core of her ability to be a great Doula. Even with some medical complications, I believe we can attribute the fact that my wife was able to give birth in less than 24 hours to Cathy’s invaluable assistance as our Doula.
